The Foundation Ivo de Carneri Onlus, born in 1994, through participations of sanitary cooperation, formation and support to the scientific search, takes care mainly of malaria and rare tropical diseases, like schistosomiasi, internal, filariosi parasatisms, leprosy, cholera and many more.
In particular the Foundation has constructed the Laboratory of Public Health - Ivo de Carneri on the island of Pemba (archipelago of Zanzibar, Tanzania), operating from June of 2000 and managed in collaboration with the local Welfare and Ministry of Health.
